Though the winter season is months away, PRISM is excited to announce a new client that embodies the winter spirit: Alpine-X. Alpine-X is revolutionizing the snowsports industry by creating the first indoor snowsports resort in the U.S., making this a high-profile client for PRISM.

“The relationship between Alpine-X and PRISM is one that allows us to help navigate them through all of the steps to launching this venture. We are really excited for the long-term partnership between us, and we are even more excited to work with them as both the company and the brand are being built,” said Abby Stewart, Director of Virginia Tech Business for PRISM. “Alpine-X is so innovative that the content and opportunities this provides will help build the PRISM portfolio as a whole while strengthening our members' skills.”

With the excitement of this new client comes a new audience niche for PRISM. In the past, PRISM has specialized in organizations that cater more specifically to the college student audience and PRISM’s connection to Gen-Z is an important strategy for Alpine-X. However, Alpine-X’s experience is geared towards beginners and experienced snowsports enthusiasts alike. While this is new to PRISM, enthusiasm is at an all-time high to take on this challenge and broaden PRISM’s horizons.

PRISM is committed to building relationships and strengthening our network. John Emery, Chief Executive Officer of Alpine-X, is a Virginia Tech alum and a prior PRISM client, and PRISM is proud to work with Emery again.

“Alpine-X is excited to be working with PRISM at Virginia Tech. The ideas they present to us are creative, align closely with our goals, and are executed in a professional manner. The enthusiasm from the PRISM team is unbounded, their relatability with Gen-Z is helpful in expanding our messaging, and their ability to take our ethos as a company and integrate it with a compelling market strategy is impressive,” said Emery.

Alpine-X values actively communicating with their guests and local communities. To that end, PRISM will work with Alpine-X to build the company’s online presence so that followers will have the opportunity to directly connect and interact with Alpine-X. Twitter will be used to appeal to Alpine-X’s younger generation of snowsport enthusiasts, while Facebook will be utilized to connect with local communities and families. Instagram will be employed to push Alpine-X’s brand purpose and brand identity of loving the outdoors and wanting to push the boundaries of the alpine experience.

PRISM’s interdisciplinary team will increase awareness for Alpine-X and its mission to bring inclusive, accessible, convenient, and affordable snowsports to all. Part of PRISM’s strategy will be to produce four videos that highlight the authentic experience Alpine-X provides its guests. One of which will be a comprehensive brand video, created by Mary O’Kane and Skyler Taube, in which PRISM will idealize indoor snowsports, highlighting the success of these facilities.

“This is such a unique client in terms of both PRISM and in terms of resorts in the United States,” said Julia Palumbo, co-Chief Executive for PRISM. “There really isn’t anything like it in the U.S., and that makes things even more exciting.”
