PRISM is excited to introduce our new executive team: the dynamic duo of Chief Marketing Officers Hanna Kron and Savannah Meredith, also known as “Havannah.”

Since joining PRISM, Hanna and Savannah have been standout PRISMites and major contributors to the success of our organization. The pair was announced as the new executive team back in March and has spent the past several months transitioning into these new roles. As we head into summer and plan for next year, we want to recognize this new leadership team for their hard work and exciting plans for the future!

Hanna joined PRISM during her freshman year at Virginia Tech and has gained extensive leadership experiences throughout her time in our organization. She has served as a content creator, account executive and account manager for multiple clients including First & Main, Smithfield Foods, the Pamplin College of Business and Pamplin International.

Reflecting on the three years she has spent in PRISM, Hanna explained what motivated her to apply for a position on the executive team:

“I applied for Exec because this organization has meant so much to me ever since I began school as a freshman. I was introduced to PRISM for the first time during an accepted students’ day while I was a senior in high school, and immediately knew that this was the path I wanted to go down. Since PRISM has given me so much, I wanted to be a part of the future of PRISM that could hopefully impact other students' lives like it did for me. I was ready for the leadership opportunity and felt like I had many ideas to bring to the table that would strengthen our organization!”

Looking toward the future of PRISM, Hanna elaborated on what she hopes to achieve during her time as CMO:

“We have plans to expand on our services and to add more of an experimental and technical component to PRISM. We have some new projects that are in the works that would really take our organization to the next level. We would also love to plan more networking and pitching opportunities to companies from the East Coast all the way to the West Coast. We want to build an even stronger culture and structure that reflects a real-life agency. Lastly, we want to add more of a philanthropic and community service sector to PRISM this upcoming year!”

Savannah also became a PRISMite during her freshman year. She credits her acceptance into PRISM to the brave step she took to put herself out there and connect with current members. Savannah recalled her chance meeting with PRISM’s former CMO that year:

“I knew applying as a freshman would be difficult, so putting myself out there in front of current members was really important to me. Over fall break, I was working at Anthropologie and the current CMO walked in from a job interview. I knew I had to say something and introduce myself or I would have regretted not acting on a lucky shot!”

Prior to serving as CMO, Savannah also held multiple leadership positions in PRISM. Throughout the past three years, she has served as a content creator, account manager, account executive and director of accounts for clients like the Pamplin College of Business and Pamplin Admissions.

Motivated by a deep gratitude for the opportunities PRISM has provided her, Savannah explains her rationale for applying to the CMO position:

“Just like how I knew I would have kicked myself for not taking that lucky chance talking to our CMO at Anthropologie, I knew I would have regretted not taking this position. This is a role that has already provided me so many learning curves and networking opportunities, and we're just getting started!”

As CMO, Savannah is most excited about further helping PRISM and its members build deeper connections with one another as well as other student-run ad agencies:

“Our past exec team also worked on establishing relationships with other collegiate agencies. Hanna and I want to continue their work and hopefully make an event where all of us can come together and grow our network. And finally, the both of us want each member and team in PRISM to share their ideas and creativity — that's why we're here in the first place! There are very few collegiate organizations that give these kinds of real-world opportunities, and we want each member to take advantage of that.”

We are excited to see what this pair of PRISMites will achieve as our new executive team, and we’re enthusiastic to discover what change they will create as they propel PRISM forward!

Welcome, Hanna and Savannah!
